Thank you to Steve Goff, Judy Filliiph, Pearl McKenzie, Tara McTaggart, Dorene McLoed, and Mary Oakley for weeding at (Pelican Island) Audubon House on Sunday morning, 5-22-2016. An amazing amount of weedy and invasive biomass was dispatched from the wildflower garden area (shown above) and from the southeastern plant bed (shown below).
Lots of air potato (Dioscorea bulbifera) and shoebutton ardisia (Ardisia elliptica) – not to mention wads of weeds – were removed from this area.
Judy Fillipich did an amazing job of readying an round area for future planting.
