Jean ‘JJ’ Romano sent me this photograph of a mushroom that she, Diane LaRue and Susan Warmer spotted on 12/10/14, one of their weekly Wednesday workdays at the Oslo Riverfront Conservation Area. Dr. Jay Barnhart, who has given his What Fungus is Among Us? talk for our volunteer group identified it as a Russula sp. “that has taken on an innovative shape”.
