Shoestring fern (Vittaria lineata) is another epiphyte that grows at the Oslo Riverfront Conservation Area. This primitive fern with stringy foliage is found almost exclusively growing in association with “boots” — old leafstems — of cabbage palms (Sabal palmetto) in moist places.
